Jesus is NOT Jehovah

 

I to would like  share with you another dynamic article written by a brother and friend named RORY MOORE.I hope this article blesses you and may it cause you dig deep in the word of God.

1. Many Bibles use "LORD" in the Old Testament. It is translated from "YHVH".
In the original Hebrew, this is name for God, and there were no vowels.
Your King James Version translated it to LORD, all caps.
-a similar word "Lord" or "lord" is a title for a master, leader, owner, ruler. Sarah called Abraham "Lord". King David was called "Lord". Prophets were called "Lord". But not as GOD. -rather as masters.

There are other names or nouns associated with GOD,
however when GOD revealed Himself as "THE LORD GOD", HE is the ONE and only "Most High".
Many of the other "names" for GOD regard His attributes and character.

For years this confused me, and when we were in the church "system" we confused Jesus with GOD because there were overlapping Titles and attributes that Jesus manifested.
These become "constructs", i.e. assigning meanings to them that are not explicit but appear on the surface to be plausible.

A few examples of deceptive constructions :
OT: "God is our Rock", Ps. 18:46
NT: 1 Corinthians 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
OT: Psalm 31:5 Into Thine hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of TRUTH.
NT: John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the TRUTH..
OT: Exo. 3:14 "tell them I AM THAT I AM..."
NT: John 58 Jesus said to them, “Verily, verily I say to you, before Abraham was, I am!”

NOTE:
The simple fact is there is no scripture ever "Jesus is God."
There are FIVE scriptures where the LORD GOD said "I <He> is not a man...", (I have them if you want to see),

and Jesus never states "I AM GOD".
-But GOD did in TEN places, I have those verses also.
Now THERE'S a glaring construct 100% absent from their list

Now let's show why the LORD GOD is not "the Lord" Jesus.

In the OLD and NEW Testaments, the LORD is FATHER.
HE is Father of Israel, and He is the GOD and Father of Jesus Christ.
"HE" is ONE.

We KNOW this clearly because of the prophets who saw heaven, the throne, and ONE God-person-likeness/ image there.

(Moses, Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Macaiah to name some who all said "I SAW.." God, and HE was ONE, i.e. a "HE" "I", "ME", "MY" MYSELF, HIM, singular, in literally thousands of usages. )

To show the future coming of Christ the Messiah, who would be a man, using three prophetic passages and none of them attribute the coming man as being GOD or the LORD Himself.

The fact God said "I am not a man", and that God cannot bleed or die, nor is there any scripture for "incarnation" where God becomes a man is worth keeping in mind.

1. Deuteronomy 18:18
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren like thee, and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak to them all that ***I shall command Him***
-The LORD will raise up a prophet like Moses... <future>.
(fulfilled by Jesus in John 8:40).

2. Isaiah 53.
This wonderful amazing prophecy concerned a "MAN of sorrows  that THE LORD would send to take away sins.
(1 And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
(2 For He <the man> shall grow up before HIM <i.e. the LORD>, as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground 3 He is despised and rejected of men,
a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief..

(10 Yet it pleased the LORD <GOD> to bruise him <the man> ;
HE <GOD> has put Him <the man> to grief.
When YOU <i.e. GOD> shall make His <the man's> soul an offering for sin.

Psalm 110 is unequivocal in making the separation between THE LORD (aka Jehovah) and the Lord Jesus who is Christ, Master, Messiah, Savior, Deliverer, King of Israel, Mediator, and High Priest.

3. Psalm 110 The LORD spoke a prophecy for the future.
(1 The LORD said to my Lord,
“Sit Thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.”

( This verse befuddled me for 36 years because I had been taught church precepts varying from the trinity version to the oneness versions. But being a diligent Bible student, I read it and moved on without being able to understand it because it did not fit any of my theology teachings. )

10 And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?” Who is this?” Who is this?”
11 And the multitude said,
“This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.”

AND this....
What are you thinking of Christ?
Whose Son is He?”
They said to Him, “The son of David.”
43 Jesus said, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ** ‘Lord,’ saying,
(** "Lord: the word is "master", NOT "LORD" or "LORD GOD".)

44 ‘The LORD said to my Lord,
“Sit Thou on My right hand until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool”’?
45 If David then call Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his son?”
46 And no man was able to answer Him a word..

Today because of the confusion and conflicts of the church world, 99% cannot understand that statement to identify who is WHO.
-and so they bypass a profound Truth regarding the true identity of Jesus Christ and the LORD GOD.

Here I was, a Bible-reading Truth seeker but that verse was an enigma of mystery, so it was passed over to more comfortable verses that seemed to affirm what I believed in error.

THE LORD said to my Lord made SIMPLE.
Yes, that prophecy was quoted AGAIN *after* Jesus had ascended to His GOD, our GOD and Father.
-in the FIRST gospel message in Acts 2, preached to a huge crowd of Jews in Jerusalem,
PETER MADE IT *simple*!!!

I LOVE simple..... don't you?

As the crowd listened, the apostle Peter said:
22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth
A MAN APPROVED OF GOD <the LORD> with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him....,
as you yourselves know

— 23 THIS JESUS,
delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.
24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.

25 For David says concerning him, (from PSALM 110) ............

32 THIS JESUS, GOD <aka The LORD> raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.
33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit,
he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.
(Spirit baptism they ALL received)
34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but says,

“‘ *THE LORD* said to my Lord,
“Sit at M*Y* right hand,
35 until *I* make your <i.e the Lord Jesus'> enemies your footstool.”’

36 Let all the house of Israel therefore KNOW FOR CERTAIN
that GOD <i.e. THE LORD>
has made him both Lord and Christ,
this Jesus <the man, vs 22> whom you crucified.”

In this post I have put before your eyes the simple revelation of who THE LORD GOD is and that His Son is the Lord Jesus Christ.

-I realize and understand this may conflict our traditional view which was taught using many words and phrases never given by God through His prophets and apostles.
( I have a list of them also.)

-that is why people are confused and hindered from truly knowing the Lord Jesus and knowing the Truth.

There are also MANY "WHAT ABOUT'S!?? " to work through, as I had them also. The Lord was gracious to help me resolve every one of them and come to the revelation,
"Jesus is the Christ, the SON of the LIVING GOD".
