Simon Saw What?

  Acts 8:12-13- But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. This story in Acts chapter 8 tells us about a man named Simon, not the same Simon Peter but Simon the Sorcerer. Scripture tells us this man was fooling a lot of people making them think he was something special or someone with great power Acts 8:9-10- But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.   Have you ever experienced receiving the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues? J. Vernon McGee admits you should only pray to the Father

  Whoa, say it is not so but whoa. The popular J. Vernon Mcgee who was a very famous radio preacher has said in one of his books that we as Christians should ONLY be praying to the Father! My friend what do you think about that? Is this shocking or have you even heard of this man? Can I tell you something on a personal level. I AGREE with his observation, and I will tell you something else, so would the Lord Jesus Christ! Did not Jesus say in Matthew 6:2 " when you pray say Our Father "? Is this not consider prayer TO Father?   Have you ever considered if you were really born again? What if you found out that you really were not saved that time you "accepted Christ as your personal Savior? "Would you be upset? I know who am I to question YOUR salvation right? I am not questioning your salvation; I am just asking a question because what I present today in this post is something worth sharing and hopefully cause someone to really consider where they are with God when it comes to a subject that effects their eternity. There is a lot of good bible believing God fearing people in this world today who sincerely in their heart love God and they love the Lord Jesus Christ.   Do you know Jesus said that He was a man? John 8:40.You might be saying of course he is man but God and man! Most Christians would probably say the same thing, but did you know the Bible does not teach that Jesus was 100% God and 100% man? Contrary to popular belief Jesus never claimed to be God, his own disciples did not even think that He was God. Yeah, sure there are verses that seem to say differently, but do they? Are we taking scripture out of context? I believe most are doing just that. Do You Believe?

  Do you believe? that is in the Bible? Do you believe what the Bible says? Do you believe if we read something in the Bible that we should obey it? There is a lot of people who would say yes to the above questions, there is also a lot of people who would say yes and add their objectives. Which one are you? I would say for me personally that I would be one of the people that if I saw something in the Bible I would be one of those who would believe what I read.   Today subject is about the word "believe" and there are people who believe in the bible that it is the word of God and they will also say that they believe in Jesus Christ, and unfortunately, they believe that is all a person needs to do in order to be saved and go to heaven. While that may sound sincere, I believe (no pun) there is more to it if one desires to be saved and have eternal life with God.
